Zohar
In relation to mysteries of the Torah we have to employ an allegory. There is a soul that is the Matron, [Drawn from Malchut of Atzilut] and there is a soul that is a handmaid [Drawn from the world of Beriyah] such as in, "And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant" (Exodus 21:7). And there is a soul that is a common maid [From the world of Asiyah]. And so is man. There is a man who is a servant to the soul. Sometimes the soul goes by means of incarnation, [Because of a sin in the previous incarnation], "the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot" (Genesis 8:9), [The soul is not at rest due to this previous sin]. And the Evil Inclination chases it to enter that body, which is a maid to the Evil Inclination. It is a Jewish 'demon' and the soul is Yud {which is called} a Hebrew maidservant, in which this demon (Heb. שֵׁד) becomes Shadai, [Shed plus the letter Yud] because it kept the soul and repented through it, and with it blessed the Holy One, blessed be He, daily with 'Blessed (Heb. בָרוּך)', and with it sanctifies the Holy One, blessed be He, with 'Holy, holy, holy', and with it declares the unity of the Holy One, blessed be He, by Kriat Sh'ma.

And we need to wake you up to the many places in the Torah where the name Y"ah is said, as for example: "" (Exodus 17:16). What is 'from generation to generation'? And this is the explanation of the verse: the evil Amalek came from the power of the Primordial Snake, and Amalek's clinging and power come from there, and from the moment that the Primordial Snake threw its pollution on Chava, Adam cut the saplings upward and separated himself, distanced, and this is the secret of the separation of the Shechinah whose essence among the lower ones was "and the dove did not find a resting place for her foot" (Gen. 8:9). Even though Israel stood at Sinai and their pollution ceased, the defect of the moon did not cease permanently, and only at certain times, such as when the appropriate sacrifices were brought, goats on which it was known that Se'ir [a play on the words, goat, sa'ir and Se'ir] was clung onto, which is the first force of Amalek, as in "the first of peoples, Amalek" (Numbers 24:20). And when Amalek came it added sin to the defect of the moon, and it hurt the sciatic nerve on Yaakov, and therefore the kingship of David spread out. And behold, when the saplings were cut in the time of the Primordial Adam and Amalek hurt the sciatic nerve on Yaakov the reading of Amalek was established/fixed. And behold, this is, as if it were possible, that the last two letters of the Name were made defective through Amalek, and the reason is that the hand of YHV"H touched them, as in "and the hand of YHV"H was against them" (I Samuel 12:15). And it says "a snake makes its way over a rock" (Prov. 30:19) and its hint: "And Amalek came and waged war against Israel in Refidim" (Ex. 17:8). Refidim = Refyion yadayim (weakness of hands, see Mekhilta d'Rabbi Yishmael 17:8:4). And therefore it is necessary to say that the Primordial Snake and Amalek both hurt the two last letters of the Name, which are vav and hey, and what was left were the letters yud and hey in which they did not extend hand, since there is not place [in those letters] for the higher princes, because they [the letters] are Above, as we explained. And therefore [the text says] "a hand on the throne of Ya'h", the touched the Throne [kise, kaf-samech-alef] and made a defect on it, and it remained kaf"samech, they hurt the two last letters and Y"ah remained, and therefore, 'al kes Y'ah".

Rabbi Yosi said that the instant the Holy One blessed be He, resurrects the dead, all troubles will end, on the fortieth year (after the gathering of the exiles). It has been resolved by law "Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed" (Devarim 25:3). The journey of Yisrael in the desert (was finished) in the fortieth year. Forty years before the body is resurrected, the soul awaits it in the land of Yisrael. In the fortieth year, the bodies will rise from the dust. After forty days the rain stopped, this is the meaning of the verses "And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights" (Gen. 7:12), and "it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened" (Gen. 8:6). Also, the time of the Redemption of Yisrael is during the fortieth year. During the fiftieth year, the world, which is Jubilee, will be populated. The return of the soul to the body occurs after forty years of waiting in the land of Yisrael. This is the meaning of, "and Isaac was forty years old." That is, he was waiting for the body. "When he took Rivkah," who was put in the body prepared for him. Their passion and longing at that moment was for the splendor of the Shechinah only and to nourish of Her splendor. This is the meaning of the verse, "Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth." Rabbi Abba said, "Let him kiss me" means let him nourish me. Their sole nourishment is the enjoyment and sustenance of the supernal splendor. Rabbi Yosi said that this is proven by the end of the verse, which reads, "for your love is better than wine" (Shir Hashirim 1:2).

The punishment of one who has relations with a Niddah, Maidservant, Gentile, and Prostitute was stated in the Tikkunei Zohar (21st Correction): 455. And all the adhesions (defect in the lungs) of the lethal poison, BECAUSE IT PREVENTS THE AIR FROM THE LUNGS TO BLOW ONTO THE HEART, are the legs OF THE FEMALE OF SAMAEL. Of whom is said, “Her feet go down to death” (Mishlei 5:5). And they are eighteen adhesions (defect of the lung). Of them is written, “Neither will I again smite all living (Heb. chai) things as I have done” (Bersheet 8:21), to those who pray eighteen blessings in the AMIDAH prayer. And always WHEREVER THERE DWELLS THE FEMALE KLIPAH CALLED T’refah (lit. ‘unkosher’), it is not Chayah (lit. ‘live’ BECAUSE THE LIGHT OF LIFE DEPARTS FROM THERE. For wherever she can grasp the person with her judgments, WHICH ARE THE SEVERE JUDGMENTS SHE kills him.

Every aspect is attached to the smoke in the nose, and many bearers of harsh judgment are attached to each aspect. They are all sweetened only by the smoke of the altar below. It is therefore written, “And Hashem smelled the sweet savor” (Bereshit 8:21). The sweet savor sweetens the judgment bearers, that is, it delights them.
