Ecclesiaste 12:14 Cabala: Be'ur Eser S'firot & Or Neerav

כִּ֤י אֶת־כָּל־מַֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים יָבִ֥א בְמִשְׁפָּ֖ט עַ֣ל כָּל־נֶעְלָ֑ם אִם־ט֖וֹב וְאִם־רָֽע׃<br><small>[סוף דבר הכל נשמע את־האלהים ירא ואת־מצותיו שמור כי־זה כל־האדם]</small>

Perché Dio porterà ogni giudizio nel giudizio su ogni cosa nascosta, sia essa buona o cattiva. [La fine della questione, essendo stati ascoltati tutti: temete Dio e osservate i Suoi comandamenti; poiché questo è l'intero uomo.]

Be'ur Eser S'firot

Answer. Like it's impossible for a ship to not have a captain, so it's impossible for the world to not have a Ruler. And the Ruler is the Infinite One for God's honor and God's word - as the matter is written, "I have seen an end to every purpose; but Thy commandment is exceeding broad." (Ps. 119:96), and it is written, "That God will call every creature to account for everything unknown, be it good or bad." (Ecc. 12:14) And what is this that is hidden, without end or beginning, and without detail and without anything outside of it? And the sages of the investigation agree that this is a thing without end and without detail and without border, the causes of all causes, and the reason behind all reasons. And the way of the Ruler that we have seen is without end and all of God's actions are hidden from one who investigates the issue, as its written, "God hath set the world in their heart, yet so that man cannot find out the work that God hath done from the beginning even to the end." (Ecc. 3:11) And its also written, "though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it." (ibid, 8:17). And about this the text cautions, "... lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe..." (Deut. 29:17) And its written, "that he bless himself in his heart, saying: 'I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart...'" (ibid, 18) that is to say, that there's no believer in name and in image except for he that believes in the Infinite and draws from God strength for himself - and he doesn't do so through the virtue of name. And regarding one who has denied the name, it is written, and in him God protests God's name in order to contend with him and his image. And the one that believes in God will believe that there is a Ruler of the world, and the believer in the Infinite. But the one who doesn't believe that there is a Ruler of the world, but instead says that the world is degraded and happened by chance, about him it is written, 'If you walk contrary to me..." (Lev. 26:21) And it's written, "...then I will walk contrary to you in fury." (ibid, 28) That is to say, that each and every person is measured by God in the same measure of desire, and in him is the path which is established for him.

And I heard behind me (Ezek. 3:12) a herald calling. Will you not answer [that] I will prepare my generation, for you have not denied the words of the Master of the Earth, [who is] awesome in praise in the darkness, and light dwells with Him (Dan. 2:22). I will tell of the decree (Ps. 2:7), advice from afar. Indeed, these are the lambs of the Merciful One, the eternal God [who] is a dwelling-place (Deut. 33:27), Selah. Why should you ask, when it is miraculous? (Judg. 13:18). The Lord of Hosts has purposed, and who will disannul it? (Isa. 14:27). If I would relate and speak of them, they are more than can be told (Ps. 40:6), for it is to test (Exod. 20:20) us that He orders His angels (Ps. 91:11) for us in the high heavens above and on the earth below (Deut. 4:39). They sanctify and purify themselves (Isa. 66:17) to comprehend the rash and to give merit to the multitude concerning the things that are the mysteries of the world, to bring all hidden things to judgment (Eccles. 12:14), for thus it arose in [His] thought, and it is known to all that there is a time and a season for each thing (Eccles. 3:1), and snarl against all sound wisdom (Prov. 18:1), and [for] the enlightened one [who wishes] to do well, his silence suffices for him. Let him be [more] silent for the Lord than the roar of the lion [is loud]. He will place and desire, and his heart will understand that not all faces are alike, and [that] God has made high and uplifted (Isa. 57:15) lowly and dark, both essential and nonessential, [so] that they should fear Him (Eccles. 3:14). For the mem and the samekh on the [stone] tablets are still suspended and stand. They warn and testify as a sign and anger [that will] consume and destroy those who utilize the crown not for its own sake,3Cf. Mishnah, Avot 1:13. with a deadly poison for those who defy her will. A contemptible brand in the thought of him that is at ease (Job 12:5) under every leafy tree (Deut. 12:2).
