וְתָ֥פְשׂוּ ב֖וֹ אָבִ֣יו וְאִמּ֑וֹ וְהוֹצִ֧יאוּ אֹת֛וֹ אֶל־זִקְנֵ֥י עִיר֖וֹ וְאֶל־שַׁ֥עַר מְקֹמֽוֹ׃
allora suo padre e sua madre lo afferreranno e lo faranno conoscere agli anziani della sua città e alla porta del suo posto;
Orchot Tzadikim
The stubborn and rebellious son was punished because he did not listen. As it is written : "Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city. And they shall say unto the elders of his city : 'This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he doth not hearken to our voice,' "and all the men of the city shall stone him" (Deut. 21:19-20).
