אֵֽרֲדָה־נָּ֣א וְאֶרְאֶ֔ה הַכְּצַעֲקָתָ֛הּ הַבָּ֥אָה אֵלַ֖י עָשׂ֣וּ ׀ כָּלָ֑ה וְאִם־לֹ֖א אֵדָֽעָה׃
Voglio andar a vedere, se hanno assolutamente fatto conforme alle lagnanze giunte a me contro di essi; e se no, saprò (quel che ho da fare).

ארדה נא ואראה . G–d uses this expression both here before finalizing the decree to destroy Sodom and before deciding how to deal with the generation that built the Tower of Babel. Rashi's comment on this is most appropriate.
