לָכֵן֩ הִנְנִ֨י אֹֽסִפְךָ֜ עַל־אֲבֹתֶ֗יךָ וְנֶאֱסַפְתָּ֣ אֶל־קִבְרֹתֶיךָ֮ בְּשָׁלוֹם֒ וְלֹא־תִרְאֶ֣ינָה עֵינֶ֔יךָ בְּכֹל֙ הָֽרָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֥י מֵבִ֖יא עַל־הַמָּק֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וַיָּשִׁ֥יבוּ אֶת־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ דָּבָֽר׃
Perciò ecco, io ti radunerò ai tuoi padri e tu sarai radunato sulla tua tomba in pace, né i tuoi occhi vedranno tutto il male che porterò su questo luogo.' E riportarono parola al re.

Behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace [(not witnessing the destruction of the Temple)], and your eyes will not see all the evil that I will bring upon this place and upon its inhabitants. And they returned word to the king.
