כִּֽי־אַתָּה֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל גָּלִ֜יתָה אֶת־אֹ֤זֶן עַבְדְּךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בַּ֖יִת אֶבְנֶה־לָּ֑ךְ עַל־כֵּ֗ן מָצָ֤א עַבְדְּךָ֙ אֶת־לִבּ֔וֹ לְהִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל אֵלֶ֔יךָ אֶת־הַתְּפִלָּ֖ה הַזֹּֽאת׃
Poiché tu, o Signore degli eserciti, Dio d'Israele, hai rivelato all'orecchio del tuo servo, dicendo: Io ti costruirò una casa; perciò il tuo servo ha trovato il suo cuore per rivolgerti questa preghiera.

For You, my G-d, have revealed to Your servant's ear that You would build him a house. Therefore, Your servant found [it in his heart] to pray before You.
