Talmud su Genesi 45:30

Jerusalem Talmud Nedarim

Rebbi Ḥiyya bar Abba said, Rebbi Joḥanan ate bake-meats12Cf. Ḥallah 1:5, Note 164; baked goods, not bread, made in the market. An exaggerated parallel to this is in the Babli, Berakhot 44a. and said, I did not taste food on that day. But did we not state13Erubin 3:1. That Mishnah contradicts R. Joḥanan.: “He who made a vow not to eat food is permitted water and salt”? Explain it following Rebbi Joshia, who said, in matters of vows one follows biblical usage. And from where that everything is called food? Rebbi Aḥa bar Ulla said14Gen. 45:23; the verse implies that “food” is different from grain and bread. The Babli, Berakhot 35b, disagrees and defines as מזון any food made from grain.: “And ten female donkeys carrying grain, bread, and food.” Why does the verse say, “and food”? From here that everything is called food.

Avot D'Rabbi Natan

Rabbi Shimon would say: Such is the punishment for a liar, that even when he speaks the truth, no one listens to him. So we find with the children of Jacob, who deceived their father. In the beginning he believed them, as it says (Genesis 37:31), “They took Joseph’s coat, slaughtered a goat,” and then it says (Genesis 37:33), “He recognized it, and said: This is my son’s coat! But afterward, even when they spoke the truth to him, he did not believe them, as it says (Genesis 45:26), ([“His heart became numb, for he did not believe them.”]) “They told him, and said: Joseph is still alive…[but] he did not believe them.”
Some say that the holy spirit that had departed from Jacob now returned to him, as it says (Genesis 45:27), “And the spirit of their father Jacob was revived.”
