Talmud su Isaia 43:63

Jerusalem Talmud Taanit

89Babli 29a; Mekhilta dR. Ismael Bo Chap. 14; Sifry Num.84, 161; Ex. rabba15(17). Rebbi Simeon ben Yoḥay stated: Every place to which Israel was exiled, the Divine Presence was exiled with them. They were exiled to Egypt and the Divine Presence was exiled with them. What is the reason? 901S. 2:27.Was I not revealed to your Father’s house when they were in Egypt, the house of Pharaoh? They were exiled to Babylon and the Divine Presence was exiled with them. What is the reason? 91Is. 43:14.On your behalf I was sent to Babylon. They were exiled to Media and the Divine Presence was exiled with them. What is the reason? I installed My throne in Elam92Jer.49:38., but Elam is nothing else but Media as you are saying, when I was in the Capital city of Susa which is in the province of Elam93Dan. 8:2. The identification is erroneous.. They were exiled to Ionia and the Divine Presence was exiled with them. What is the reason? I shall awake your sons, Zion, over your sons, Ionia94Sach. 9:13.. They were exiled to Rome and the Divine Presence was exiled with them. What is the reason? 95Is. 21:11,12. The previous paragraph is the introduction to this sermon. He calls to me from Se`ir: watchman, what time is it in the night? Israel said to Isaiah: our teacher Isaiah, what will lead us out from this night? He told them, wait until it will be asked. After he asked, he returned to them and they asked him, watchman, what time is it in the night? He said to them, the watchman said, there comes morning and also night. They said to him, and also night? He told them, not as you understand it. But “morning” for the just ones, and “night” for the evildoers. “Morning” for Israel and “night” for the peoples of the world. They asked him, when? He said to them, any time you want, He wants: if you desire to ask, ask. They asked him, what obstructs? He told them, repentance: repent, come.

Jerusalem Talmud Shekalim

“The family Eutinos were experts in preparing the incense and the smoke-creating herb, but they did not want to teach. They sent and brought craftsmen from Alexandria who were experts in preparing the incense but were not experts in the smoke-creating herb. The family Eutinos’s was going straight up, and spread, and descended. But theirs was immediately spreading. When the Sages realized the situation, they said, everything which the Holy One, praise to Him, created, he created to His glory; as it is said54Is.43:7., all which is called by My Name, etc. They sent after them, but they refused to come until they doubled their wages. They used to take twelve mina, so they gave them twenty-four. Rebbi Jehudah says, they used to take 24, so they gave them 48. They asked them, why do you not want to teach? They answered them, there is a tradition among us from our forefathers that this Temple will be destroyed in the future. Others should not learn and prepare the same before their foreign worship. In the following matter one mentions them for praise, that no woman of any of them ever went out perfumed. Not only that, but if one of them married a woman from outside, he contracted with her that she should not use perfume, [that one should not say, they perfume themselves from the compounding of incense, to confirm what is said, you shall be innocent in the eyes of the Eternal and of Israel.]

Jerusalem Talmud Shabbat

Rebbi Levi said, at three places the Satan usually accuses: one who is on the road alone, one who sleeps in a dark house alone, and one who sets sail on the ocean. Rebbi Isaac bar Marion said, if it had not been written204Is. 43:16., so says the Eternal Who makes a path in the Sea, if a person would set out on it he would die. But the rabbis say, Who makes a path in the Sea, from Pentecost to Tabernacles, and in great waters a trail, from Tabernacles to Ḥanukkah205But the first quarter of the year is off limits for shipping.. Rebbi Yose ben Rebbi Tanḥum from Kefar Agin (a case)206Erroneous addition by a corrector. was in Essia. He wanted to set sail between Tabernacles and Ḥanukkah. A matron207Latin matrona, the wife of an important personality. saw him and said to him, now one sets sail? His father appeared to him208In a dream., but he had no burial209Eccl. 6:3.; he listened to neither and travelled by sea. Rebbi Cohen the brother of Rebbi Ḥiyya bar Abba was a sailor. He came to sail between Tabernacles and Ḥanukkah. He said to his brother, pray for me. He answered him yes, I prayed for you, but if you see the public praying for rain210Since one publicly prays for rain on the last day of Tabernacles one cannot honestly pray in private for good weather during the winter period. do not trust my prayer. Since you bound your lulav211The “four species” taken on Tabernacles (Num. 23:40) interpreted as a kind of rain-making equipment., bind your feet.

Jerusalem Talmud Berakhot

Ben Zoma said: There will be a future time when Israel will no longer mention the Exodus. What is the reason? (Jer. 23:7–8) “Therefore, days will come, says the Eternal, that one no longer will say, by the Eternal Who brought the Children of Israel up from Egypt, but rather, by the Eternal Who raised and brought the descendants of the House of Israel from the Northern land …” They said to him, not that the Exodus will be eliminated but the Exodus will be additional to the Kingdoms311“Kingdoms” is short for שעבוד מלכיות “subjugation by alien kingdoms,” a general term for the sufferings of the Jewish people inflicted by Gentiles.. The Kingdoms will be principal and the Exodus additional. And similarly it was said (Gen. 35:10): :Your name shall not be called Jacob anymore, but Israel shall be your name.” Not that the name Jacob will be taken away but Jacob will be additional to Israel. Israel will be principal and Jacob additional. And so it says (Is. 43:18–19): “Do not remember the first things”; this means the Egyptians, “And what was earlier do not dwell on”; this means the Kingdoms, “Behold, I create something new, now it will grow”; this refers to Gog. They gave a simile: to what can this be compared? To someone who encountered a wolf and was saved from it. He started telling about the wolf when he encountered a lion and was saved from it. He forget about the wolf and started telling about the lion. After that, he encountered a snake and was saved from it. He forgot about both of them and started telling about the snake. So it is with Israel, the last troubles make them forget the earlier ones.

Tractate Kallah Rabbati

Five acquisitions has the Holy One, blessed be He, made His very own54i.e. especially dear to Him. in this world, viz.: Torah, heaven and earth, Abraham, Israel and the Temple. Whence do we know this of the Torah? As it is stated, The Lord made me as the beginning of His way.55Prov. 8, 22. Whence do we know this of heaven and earth? As it is stated, The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool.56Isa. 66, 1. Whence do we know this of Abraham? As it is stated, Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Maker of heaven and earth.57Gen. 14, 19. Whence do we know this of Israel? As it is stated, Till Thy people pass over, O Lord, till the people pass over that Thou hast gotten;58Ex. 15, 16. and it states, As for the holy that are in the earth, they are the excellent in whom is all My delight.59Ps. 16, 3. And whence do we know this of the Temple? As it is stated, The sanctuary, O Lord, which Thy hands have established;60Ex. 15, 17. and it states, And He brought them to His holy border, to the mountain which His right hand had gotten.61Ps. 78, 54. All of them the Holy One, blessed be He, created only for His honour, as it is stated, Every one that is called by My name, and whom I have created for My glory, I have formed him, yea, I have made him;62Isa. 43, 7. and it states, The Lord shall reign for ever and ever.63Ex. 15, 18.

Avot D'Rabbi Natan

Everything that the Holy Blessed One created in the world was created only for His glory, as it says (Isaiah 43:7), “All that has been called by My name, whom I have created, formed, and made for My glory.” And it also says (Exodus 15:18), “The Eternal will reign forever and ever.”
