Rebbi Abin said, all coins were current in Jerusalem in old times, following (Ps. 48:3) “beautiful region, enjoyment of all the earth.”⁸⁸In the Babli Baba Qama 97b, the fact that all coins from all countries were accepted in Jerusalem in Temple times is quoted as tannaїtic.
