וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שָׁא֣וּל אֶֽל־הַקֵּינִ֡י לְכוּ֩ סֻּ֨רוּ רְד֜וּ מִתּ֣וֹךְ עֲמָלֵקִ֗י פֶּן־אֹֽסִפְךָ֙ עִמּ֔וֹ וְאַתָּ֞ה עָשִׂ֤יתָה חֶ֙סֶד֙ עִם־כָּל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בַּעֲלוֹתָ֖ם מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם וַיָּ֥סַר קֵינִ֖י מִתּ֥וֹךְ עֲמָלֵֽק׃

E Saul disse ai Keniti: «Andate, ritiratevi, scendete di mezzo agli Amalekiti, perché io non vi distrugga insieme a loro; voi infatti usaste bontà con tutti i figli d'Israele, quando salirono dall'Egitto.» E i Keniti si ritirarono di mezzo ad Amalek.
