Targum su Deuteronomio 5:22
וְעַתָּה֙ לָ֣מָּה נָמ֔וּת כִּ֣י תֹֽאכְלֵ֔נוּ הָאֵ֥שׁ הַגְּדֹלָ֖ה הַזֹּ֑את אִם־יֹסְפִ֣ים ׀ אֲנַ֗חְנוּ לִ֠שְׁמֹעַ אֶת־ק֨וֹל יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֵ֛ינוּ ע֖וֹד וָמָֽתְנוּ׃
Ora quindi perché dovremmo morire? poiché questo grande fuoco ci consumerà; se ascoltiamo più la voce dell'Eterno, nostro Dio, allora moriremo.
Targum Jonathan on Deuteronomy
But now why should we die? For this great fire will devour us; if we again hear the voice of the Word of the Lord our God, we shall die.
