לֹא־יַחֲבֹ֥ל רֵחַ֖יִם וָרָ֑כֶב כִּי־נֶ֖פֶשׁ ה֥וּא חֹבֵֽל׃ (ס)

Nessun uomo dovrà impegnare il mulino o la mola superiore; perché prende un uomo's vita da impegnare.

Targum Jonathan on Deuteronomy

A man shall not take the millstones, lower or upper, as a pledge; for they are necessary in making food for every one. Neither shall a man join bridegrooms and brides by magical incantations; for what would be born of such would perish.

You shall not take the upper and lower millstones for a pledge; for the pledge is a necessary of life. Nor shall there be unlawful conjoinments of bridegrooms and brides; for what such produce is denied the life of the world to come.
