Targum su Esodo 25:20
וְהָי֣וּ הַכְּרֻבִים֩ פֹּרְשֵׂ֨י כְנָפַ֜יִם לְמַ֗עְלָה סֹכְכִ֤ים בְּכַנְפֵיהֶם֙ עַל־הַכַּפֹּ֔רֶת וּפְנֵיהֶ֖ם אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־אָחִ֑יו אֶל־הַכַּפֹּ֔רֶת יִהְי֖וּ פְּנֵ֥י הַכְּרֻבִֽים׃
I cherubini avranno le ali tese in alto, riparando colle loro ali sul coperchio, ed avranno le facce l’uno rimpetto all’altro; verso il coperchio saranno i volti dei cherubini.
Targum Jonathan on Exodus
And the kerubaia shall stretch forth their wings above, their heads over against each other, their wings overshadowing the mercy-seat, and their faces over against each other; towards the mercy-seat shall be the faces of the kerubaia.
