Targum su Genesi 41:52
וְאֵ֛ת שֵׁ֥ם הַשֵּׁנִ֖י קָרָ֣א אֶפְרָ֑יִם כִּֽי־הִפְרַ֥נִי אֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּאֶ֥רֶץ עָנְיִֽי׃
Ed al secondo pose nome Efraim, (dicendo:) Poichè Iddio mi fece prolificare nel paese della mia miseria.
Targum Jonathan on Genesis
And the name of the second he called Ephraim; for he said, The Lord hath made me mighty in the land of my affliction, as he will make the house of my father mighty here in their afflictions.
