וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־קַ֔יִן אֵ֖י הֶ֣בֶל אָחִ֑יךָ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לֹ֣א יָדַ֔עְתִּי הֲשֹׁמֵ֥ר אָחִ֖י אָנֹֽכִי׃
Il Signore disse a Caino: dov’è Abele tuo fratello? E quegli disse: non so. Sono io il custode del mio fratello?
Targum Jonathan on Genesis
And the Lord said to Kain, Where is Habel thy brother? And he said, I know not; am I the keeper of my brother?
