וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָבָ֗ן ט֚וֹב תִּתִּ֣י אֹתָ֣הּ לָ֔ךְ מִתִּתִּ֥י אֹתָ֖הּ לְאִ֣ישׁ אַחֵ֑ר שְׁבָ֖ה עִמָּדִֽי׃
Lavàn disse: È meglio ch’io la dia a te, piuttosto che darla ad altr’uomo. Resta (quindi) presso di me.
Targum Jonathan on Genesis
And Laban said with deceit, It is better that I give her to thee, than to another man abide with me.
