וְאָמַ֣רְתְּ בִּלְבָבֵ֗ךְ מִ֤י יָֽלַד־לִי֙ אֶת־אֵ֔לֶּה וַאֲנִ֥י שְׁכוּלָ֖ה וְגַלְמוּדָ֑ה גֹּלָ֣ה ׀ וְסוּרָ֗ה וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ מִ֣י גִדֵּ֔ל הֵ֤ן אֲנִי֙ נִשְׁאַ֣רְתִּי לְבַדִּ֔י אֵ֖לֶּה אֵיפֹ֥ה הֵֽם׃ (פ)
Allora dirai nel tuo cuore: 'Chi mi ha generato questi, vedendo che sono stato privato dei miei figli, e sono solitario, un esilio e vagando avanti e indietro? E chi ha allevato questi? Ecco, sono stato lasciato solo; Questi, dove erano?'

Then thou shalt say in thine heart, Who hath nourished up these for me, seeing I have lost my children, and have been solitary; an exile, and an outcast; who then hath brought up these? Lo! I was left alone; these, where were they?
