לְקִצְבֵ֤י הָרִים֙ יָרַ֔דְתִּי הָאָ֛רֶץ בְּרִחֶ֥יהָ בַעֲדִ֖י לְעוֹלָ֑ם וַתַּ֧עַל מִשַּׁ֛חַת חַיַּ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי׃
Sono andato in fondo alle montagne; La terra con le sue sbarre si chiuse su di me per sempre; Eppure hai tratto la mia vita dalla fossa, Signore mio Dio.
Targum Jonathan on Jonah
To the roots of mountains You brought me down; earth drawing against me in strength to over all existence, and You — near before You to come up from the damage alive, LORD my God.
