Targum su Numeri 20:2

וְלֹא־הָ֥יָה מַ֖יִם לָעֵדָ֑ה וַיִּקָּ֣הֲל֔וּ עַל־מֹשֶׁ֖ה וְעַֽל־אַהֲרֹֽן׃

E non c'era acqua per la congregazione; e si radunarono insieme contro Mosè e contro Aaronne.

And as on account of the innocency of Miriam a well had been given, so when she died the well was hidden, and the congregation had no water.
