וְכִֽי־יִשְׁאַ֥ל אִ֛ישׁ מֵעִ֥ם רֵעֵ֖הוּ וְנִשְׁבַּ֣ר אוֹ־מֵ֑ת בְּעָלָ֥יו אֵין־עִמּ֖וֹ שַׁלֵּ֥ם יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃
Quando tal uno prenda a prestito dal suo prossimo (qualche animale), e (questo) si storpii, o muoja; se il proprietario non gli era appresso, lo pagherà.
Targum Jonathan on Exodus
And if a man borrow anything of his neighbour, and the vessel be broken, or the animal die, and the owner be not with it, lie shall certainly make it good.
