사자가 부르짖은즉 누가 두려워하지 아니하겠느냐 주 여호와께서 말씀하신즉 누가 예언하지 아니하겠느냐
Rashi
A lion has roared; who will not fear?—So has the Holy One, blessed be He, spoken to the prophets to prophesy. Who will not prophesy?
Tze'enah Ure'enah
“The lion has roared, who will not fear, etc.” [3:8]. A lion roars, who does not fear and should the person not be afraid when I have commanded him to be a prophet for Israel.10Radak, Amos, 3:8.

The Talmud says in [tractate] Yoma, in chapter eight, concerning the verse “for three sins of Israel” [2:6]. Rabbi Jose said: a person who commits a transgression three times, the Holy One forgives him. However, the fourth time the Holy One does not forgive him, as the verse says, “for four I will not respond” [2:6]. That is, the fourth time I will not respond to him.11B. Yoma, 86b.
