כִּ֣י יֶֽחֶטְאוּ־לָ֗ךְ כִּ֣י אֵ֤ין אָדָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־יֶחֱטָ֔א וְאָנַפְתָּ֣ בָ֔ם וּנְתַתָּ֖ם לִפְנֵ֣י אוֹיֵ֑ב וְשָׁב֤וּם שֹֽׁבֵיהֶם֙ אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ הָאוֹיֵ֔ב רְחוֹקָ֖ה א֥וֹ קְרוֹבָֽה׃
범죄치 아니하는 사람이 없사오니 저희가 주께 범죄함으로 주께서 저희에게 진노하사 저희를 적국에게 붙이시매 적국이 저희를 사로잡아 원근을 물론하고 적국의 땅으로 끌어간 후에

All this was expressly stated by King Solomon when the Holy Temple was built and he prayed on behalf of the Jewish people. He said,363Kings I 8:46-49 “When they sin against You – for there is no man who never sins – and You become angry with them, and You deliver them to an enemy, and their captors take them captive to the land of the enemy, faraway or nearby, and they take it to heart in the land where they were taken captive and repent and supplicate to You in the land of their captors etc., and pray to You, by way of their land, that You gave to their forefathers, and [by way of] the city that You have chosen, and [through] the Temple that I have built for Your Name – may You hear their prayer and their supplication from Heaven, the foundation of Your abode, and carry out their judgment etc.”
