ונשל, he threw. If one uproots, or separates anything its position where it was firmly attached is described in such terms. Compare Deuteronomy 28,40 כי ישל זיתיך, “for your olives will drop off.” Compare also Deut. 19,5 ונשל הברזל מן העץ, “the iron (axe) will fall off the handle.”
Ibn Ezra
fell from, “your olives will drop off” [28: 40] (the nun here is part of the triliteral root).
Rashi
של means DRAW OFF and take off. It is of the same root as, (Numbers 19:5) “and the iron-head slippeth off (נשל) from the handle”; (Deuteronomy 28:40) “for thine olives shall drop off (ישל)”.

And let [some sheaves] fall for her. שֹׁל תָּשֹׁלּוּ =] you should forget; pretend as though you are forgetting.14The double verb indicates that the action was to be repeated many times. The Targum for שְׁגָגָה [=oversight], is שְׁלוּתָא,15Bamidbar 15:25. and similarly, “because of this error.”16II Shmuel 6:7. Another explanation [of שֹׁל תָּשֹׁלּוּ is “let fall”], an expression [as in,] “your olive tree will cast off [= יִשַּׁל [its fruit].”17Devarim 28:40.
