וְאֶת־בְּנֵ֥י הַמַּכִּ֖ים לֹ֣א הֵמִ֑ית כַּכָּת֣וּב בְּסֵ֣פֶר תּֽוֹרַת־מֹ֠שֶׁה אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֨ה יְהוָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר לֹא־יוּמְת֨וּ אָב֤וֹת עַל־בָּנִים֙ וּבָנִים֙ לֹא־יוּמְת֣וּ עַל־אָב֔וֹת כִּ֛י אִם־אִ֥ישׁ בְּחֶטְא֖וֹ ימות [יוּמָֽת׃]
왕을 죽인 자의 자녀들은 죽이지 아니하였으니 이는 모세의 율법책에 기록된 대로 함이라 곧 여호와께서 명하여 이르시기를 자녀로 인하여 아비를 죽이지 말 것이요 아비로 인하여 자녀를 죽이지 말 것이라 오직 사람마다 자기의 죄로 인하여 죽을 것이니라 하셨더라
II Chronicles
But their sons he did not put to death, as it is written in the Torah of Moses that the L rd commanded, saying [Deuteronomy 24:16]: "Fathers shall not be put to death because of the sons, and sons shall not be put to death because of the fathers, but each man shall be put to death for his (own) sin."
