אַחַ֣ר ׀ הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֗לֶּה גִּדַּל֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֜וֹשׁ אֶת־הָמָ֧ן בֶּֽן־הַמְּדָ֛תָא הָאֲגָגִ֖י וַֽיְנַשְּׂאֵ֑הוּ וַיָּ֙שֶׂם֙ אֶת־כִּסְא֔וֹ מֵעַ֕ל כָּל־הַשָּׂרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר אִתּֽוֹ׃
Po tych zdarzeniach wyniósł król Ahasweros Hamana, syna Hamedaty, agagitę, i wywyższył go, i umieścił krzesło jego ponad krzesła wszystkich książąt w otoczeniu swojem.
Flames of Faith
Amalek: An ancient nation that sought to destroy the Jews (see Exod. 16:8-16). They attacked the weakest members of Israel, the elderly and infirm, before the Jewish nation arrived at Sinai to receive the Torah. Haman was a member of this nation (see Esth. 3:1), and he tried to annihilate world Jewry during the reign of Achashveirosh.
