אֲשֶׁ֤ר הָגְלָה֙ מִיר֣וּשָׁלַ֔יִם עִם־הַגֹּלָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָגְלְתָ֔ה עִ֖ם יְכָנְיָ֣ה מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֶגְלָ֔ה נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּ֖ר מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃
Został on uprowadzony z Jerozolimy wespół z brańcami, którzy uprowadzeni zostali wraz z Jechonjaszem, królem judzkim, którego zawiódł w niewolę Nebukadnecar, król babiloński.
Malbim on Esther
c. It makes Mordecai’s sin even worse to resist handing Esther in because he is a captive and that means he needs to obey the law. It is a chessed of the King that he is letting Mordecai live a normal life so how dare should Mordecai talk back and obey the law.
