וְיֹֽשְׁבֵיהֶן֙ קִצְרֵי־יָ֔ד חַ֖תּוּ וָבֹ֑שׁוּ הָי֞וּ עֵ֤שֶׂב שָׂדֶה֙ וִ֣ירַק דֶּ֔שֶׁא חֲצִ֣יר גַּגּ֔וֹת וּשְׁדֵמָ֖ה לִפְנֵ֥י קָמָֽה׃
A mieszkańcy ich bezsilni, strwożyli się i zmieszali; stali się jako trawa polna i jako zieleniejąca się bylina, jako mech po dachach i śmieć przed kłoszeniem się.
