אֵיכָה֩ יָעִ֨יב בְּאַפּ֤וֹ ׀ אֲדֹנָי֙ אֶת־בַּת־צִיּ֔וֹן הִשְׁלִ֤יךְ מִשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ אֶ֔רֶץ תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלֹא־זָכַ֥ר הֲדֹם־רַגְלָ֖יו בְּי֥וֹם אַפּֽוֹ׃ (ס)
O, jakże zamroczył w gniewie swoim Pan córę Cyonu! Z nieba strącił na ziemię wspaniałość Izraela, a nie pamiętał na podnóże stóp Swoich w dzień gniewu swojego.

From heaven to earth. After He lifted them up to heaven, He cast them to earth all at once, and not gradually;3Otherwise Scripture should have stated לארץ, instead of ארץ, the latter expression indicates that it was done in one instant. (Sifsei Chachomim) from a lofty roof to a deep pit.
