חָשַׁ֨ב יְהוָ֤ה ׀ לְהַשְׁחִית֙ חוֹמַ֣ת בַּת־צִיּ֔וֹן נָ֣טָה קָ֔ו לֹא־הֵשִׁ֥יב יָד֖וֹ מִבַּלֵּ֑עַ וַיַּֽאֲבֶל־חֵ֥ל וְחוֹמָ֖ה יַחְדָּ֥ו אֻמְלָֽלוּ׃ (ס)
Postanowił Wiekuisty zburzyć mur córy Cyonu. Rozciągnął sznur mierniczy, nie odwrócił ręki Swojej od niszczenia, i otoczył smutkiem wał i przedmurze, społem bezsilnie zanikły.
