Kabbalah do Wyjścia 17:78

Or Neerav

The sixth virtue [of Kabbalah]: There are words in the Torah which are improper and ungrammatical according to [their] simple meaning. Thus the Torah states, Inscribe this in a document as a reminder, and read it aloud to Joshua (Exod. 17:14). By the [Temple] service! One of those who aspired to [divine] service asked me, “What does it mean, and read it aloud to Joshua? [Scripture] should have stated, ‘speak to Joshua.’ For and read it aloud [seems to] indicate that he [actually] wrote the section and placed it, God forbid, into his ears.” I replied to him in a plain manner that the Torah speaks in the language of the sons of men, for thus would a man speak to his fellow concerning the strengthening of the [divine] command. He replied, “I will not believe that there is not something here that is not known to us, through which the wording would become proper.” I said [of him] to one who knows the science [of Kabbalah], “To [men like] these I apply [the verse] [Behold,] the tears of the oppressed, and they have no comforter (Eccles. 4:1),” [referring] to those for whom the words of Torah are oppressed and stolen from their minds. [Then] I explained the matter in the way of truth, as will become clear in its place, with God’s help.

Shaarei Kedusha

The first [part of mitzvot] is to know that there is a Name of the Deity in the verse "Listen, Israel, Hashem is our God". To unify that Name when one says "Hashem is One." And to make tzitzit and wrap oneself in them. And to tie tefilin both in the opinions of Rashi and Rabeinu Tam. And touch frequently the tefilin of the head. To tie the tefilah of the arm in the proper way. To read the Shema twice a day. To pray every day the 18 blessings. To remember every day what Amalek did to us, as one says "amen yehe shemeh rabba" as it is written "because a hand in the throne of Y'ah" and when one says "and you brought us to Your Great Name".

Shaarei Orah

And we need to wake you up to the many places in the Torah where the name Y"ah is said, as for example: "" (Exodus 17:16). What is 'from generation to generation'? And this is the explanation of the verse: the evil Amalek came from the power of the Primordial Snake, and Amalek's clinging and power come from there, and from the moment that the Primordial Snake threw its pollution on Chava, Adam cut the saplings upward and separated himself, distanced, and this is the secret of the separation of the Shechinah whose essence among the lower ones was "and the dove did not find a resting place for her foot" (Gen. 8:9). Even though Israel stood at Sinai and their pollution ceased, the defect of the moon did not cease permanently, and only at certain times, such as when the appropriate sacrifices were brought, goats on which it was known that Se'ir [a play on the words, goat, sa'ir and Se'ir] was clung onto, which is the first force of Amalek, as in "the first of peoples, Amalek" (Numbers 24:20). And when Amalek came it added sin to the defect of the moon, and it hurt the sciatic nerve on Yaakov, and therefore the kingship of David spread out. And behold, when the saplings were cut in the time of the Primordial Adam and Amalek hurt the sciatic nerve on Yaakov the reading of Amalek was established/fixed. And behold, this is, as if it were possible, that the last two letters of the Name were made defective through Amalek, and the reason is that the hand of YHV"H touched them, as in "and the hand of YHV"H was against them" (I Samuel 12:15). And it says "a snake makes its way over a rock" (Prov. 30:19) and its hint: "And Amalek came and waged war against Israel in Refidim" (Ex. 17:8). Refidim = Refyion yadayim (weakness of hands, see Mekhilta d'Rabbi Yishmael 17:8:4). And therefore it is necessary to say that the Primordial Snake and Amalek both hurt the two last letters of the Name, which are vav and hey, and what was left were the letters yud and hey in which they did not extend hand, since there is not place [in those letters] for the higher princes, because they [the letters] are Above, as we explained. And therefore [the text says] "a hand on the throne of Ya'h", the touched the Throne [kise, kaf-samech-alef] and made a defect on it, and it remained kaf"samech, they hurt the two last letters and Y"ah remained, and therefore, 'al kes Y'ah".

Zohar

"And the Egyptian had a spear in his hand" (2 II Samuel 23:21). This refers to the rod of Elohim that was delivered into his hand. As it is written, "With the rod of Hashem in my hand" (Ex. 17:9). And this is the same rod that was created at the twilight of Shabbat eve and was engraved with the Holy Name by a holy shaping. And with this rod Moses committed the sin of smiting the rock, as is written, "And he smote the rock with his rod twice" (Num. 20:11). The Holy One, blessed be He, said to him: "Moses, I have not given you My rod for this purpose; by your life, from henceforward, it will not be in your hands any more."

It was through this small Hei, the Hei of Abraham, which is the letter Hei in BeHibar'am that Moses received assistance, and it is written of him: "That caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses" (Isaiah) 63:12). He took it from there (from among the kelipot) by the power of the letter Vav and brought it with him. Immediately, Yud-Hei rested on it and the vow was fulfilled: "For Yah has sworn by His throne (Heb. Kes, Caf-Samech) that Hashem will have war" (Shemot 17:16). What is "From generation to generation"? This is Moses, about whom it is written: "One generation passes away, and another generation comes..." (Kohelet 1:4). It has already been explained that one generation contains no fewer than 600,000. This refers to Moses, about whom it is said that one woman gave birth in Egypt to 600,000 in one belly (meaning Moshe, who equals 600,000 souls).

Rabbi Yosey opened [with the verse] "Happy are those who sow on all waters and let loose the feet of the ox and the donkey" (Isaiah 32:20). [What is] 'Happy are you, who sow on all waters'? We learn there: waters and waters are found. Israel were guiltless, they did not have seed, rather 'by the water' as it is written "and they encamped there by the water" they were under the branches of the Tree of the Holy Blessed One.

Rabbi Eleazar said: On that day Yitzchak [gevurah/din] surrounded Avraham [gedulah/hesed] as it is written "And El-him tested Avraham" (Gen. 22:1). What is "nissah/tested"? As you say "and I will raise my banner/nissi to the peoples" (Isaiah 49:22). "And he called His name Ad-nai Nissi" (Exodus 17:15). What does this teach us? So that he would encompass the right and make himself complete. One [proof] is that it is written "And El-him tested Avraham". El-him, specifically, and this is "and the Fear of Isaac [Pachad Yitzchak]" (Genesis 31:42)
