I rozmawiał Wiekuisty z Mojżeszem, twarzą w twarz, jakoby rozmawiał kto z towarzyszem swoim; poczém wracał do obozu. Sługa zaś jego Jehoszua, syn Nuna, młodzieniec, nie ustępował z przybytku.
Targum Jonathan on Exodus
And the Lord spake with Mosheh word for word,- the voice of the Word (dibbura) was heard, but the Majesty of the Presence was not seen,- in the way that a man converseth with his companion: and after the speaking voice had ascended, he returned to the camp, and delivered the word to the congregation of Israel. But his minister, Jehoshua bar Nun, a young man, removed not from the tabernacle.
