אַֽל־תִּשְׂמְחִ֤י פְלֶ֙שֶׁת֙ כֻּלֵּ֔ךְ כִּ֥י נִשְׁבַּ֖ר שֵׁ֣בֶט מַכֵּ֑ךְ כִּֽי־מִשֹּׁ֤רֶשׁ נָחָשׁ֙ יֵ֣צֵא צֶ֔פַע וּפִרְי֖וֹ שָׂרָ֥ף מְעוֹפֵֽף׃
Nie ciesz się Pleszet cała, choć złamany kij pogromcy twojego, bo z zarodu węża lęże się jaszczurka, a płodem jego smok latający.
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
Rejoice not, 0 Philistia, all of ye, because the government that hath made you servile is broken; because from the children of Jesse shall come forth the Messiah, and his works among you shall be as a flying serpent.
