וַאֲנִ֞י הִנֵּ֧ה לָקַ֣חְתִּי אֶת־הַלְוִיִּ֗ם מִתּוֹךְ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל תַּ֧חַת כָּל־בְּכ֛וֹר פֶּ֥טֶר רֶ֖חֶם מִבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְהָ֥יוּ לִ֖י הַלְוִיִּֽם׃
"Ja oto wziąłem Lewitów z pośród synów Israela miasto wszelkiego pierworodnego, rozwierającego łono z synów Israela; niechaj przeto będą Lewici Moimi.
Targum Jonathan on Numbers
And I, behold, I have brought nigh the Levites from among the sons of Israel, instead of all the first-born who open the womb among the sons of Israel; and the Levites shall minister before Me.
