וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אַבְרָ֜ם אֶל־שָׂרַ֗י הִנֵּ֤ה שִׁפְחָתֵךְ֙ בְּיָדֵ֔ךְ עֲשִׂי־לָ֖הּ הַטּ֣וֹב בְּעֵינָ֑יִךְ וַתְּעַנֶּ֣הָ שָׂרַ֔י וַתִּבְרַ֖ח מִפָּנֶֽיהָ׃
Ao que disse Abrão a Sarai: Eis que tua serva <span class="x" onmousemove="Show('perush','Anulou o pacto de casamento, que assim era segundo o pacto de Noé: pelo envio de si. Anulando-o, voltara Hagar à situação anterior.');" onmouseout="Hide('perush');">está nas tuas mãos</span>; faze-lhe como bem te parecer. E Sarai maltratou-a, e ela fugiu de sua face.
