כִּֽחֲשׁוּ֙ בַּיהוָ֔ה וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ לֹא־ה֑וּא וְלֹא־תָב֤וֹא עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ רָעָ֔ה וְחֶ֥רֶב וְרָעָ֖ב ל֥וֹא נִרְאֶֽה׃
Negaram ao SENHOR, e disseram: Não é ele; nenhum mal nos sobrevirá; nem veremos espada nem fome.
Rashi on Jeremiah
And [they] said, “It is not He” [The Targum renders:] Our good fortune does not come before Him.
