Não entrará no ajuntamento de Yehovah um mamzer; mesmo até a décima geração, ele não entrará no ajuntamento de Yehovah. {ס}

"A mamzer shall not come into the community of God. Even to the tenth generation, he shall not come into the community of God." Devarim 23:3

54. Al Khazari: I only know that the people of the second Temple forgot the Tōrāh, and were ignorant of the law of Succāh till they found it written. A similar thing happened with the law that 'an Ammonite shall not enter the congregation of God' (Deut. xxiii. 3). With regard to these two points it is said: 'They found written.' (Neh. viii., 4; xiii. 1). This proves that they had lost the knowledge of the law.

In the beit midrash of Bruriah, they stuck a sword and said: Halacha - a mamzer may enter the community. And what of that which is written: A mamzer may not enter the community of God" (Devarim 23:3)? They were specific and learned: in a place where there is a community of God - a mamzer may not come. In a place where there is no community of God - a mamzer may come.
