שְׂאוּ֩ לַשָּׁמַ֨יִם עֵֽינֵיכֶ֜ם וְֽהַבִּ֧יטוּ אֶל־הָאָ֣רֶץ מִתַּ֗חַת כִּֽי־שָׁמַ֜יִם כֶּעָשָׁ֤ן נִמְלָ֙חוּ֙ וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ כַּבֶּ֣גֶד תִּבְלֶ֔ה וְיֹשְׁבֶ֖יהָ כְּמוֹ־כֵ֣ן יְמוּת֑וּן וִישֽׁוּעָתִי֙ לְעוֹלָ֣ם תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה וְצִדְקָתִ֖י לֹ֥א תֵחָֽת׃ (ס)
Levantai os vossos olhos para os céus e olhai para a terra em baixo; porque os céus desaparecerão como a fumaça, e a terra se envelhecerá como um vestido; e os seus moradores morrerão semelhantemente; a minha salvação, porém, durará para sempre, e a minha justiça não será abolida.
Reshit Chokhmah
And our sages, may their memories bring us blessings, said: ‘the ones who merit resurrection are those about whom it is written “awake and sing for joy, you who dwell in the dust” (Isaiah 26:19). It is not stated: You who lie in the dust, but rather: “You who dwell in the dust,” indicating that only one who became a neighbor to the dust in his lifetime will be resurrected” (see Sotah 5a).’ And such a person is one who does not react to being insulted, and about that person it is written: “my victory will stand forever” (Isaiah 51:6).
