Zohar

AND BEZALEL, THE SON OF URI, THE SON OF HUR, OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH, ETC. Said R. Judah: It has been laid down that Bezalel was of the “right side”, and so it was he who perfected the whole work. Furthermore, since Judah was ruler and king over the rest of the tribes, it thus fell to a descendant of his to construct the Tabernacle. It has already been explained that the name Bezalel is a compound of two words, signifying “in the shadow of God”, and thus indicates the “right side”. Further, from this side Bezalel possessed himself of the wisdom to do all the work.

Reshit Chokhmah

(37) And the kindling of love is truly happiness, and this is the fire that comes from the left side, which is the wine that makes happiness, and it is the what brings about connection, and so too it is explained in the Zohar (Korach, 178b) regarding the issue of "and the Levite, he will work" (Numbers 18:23) - and this is the text: "He will complete a completeness, and be one with all. He - simply to receive the congregation of Israel, as it says "and His left hand is under my head" (Songs, 2:6), in the sense of the connection of a pair as one. Who says love? It is "he". Until here the words of the text. And there, there are many explanations for the word "he", and in this explanation "he" is in Binah, and from there the happiness of the congregation of Israel arouses, in the pairing, in a way that the World of Emanations will unite and become completely one. It is seen that the essence of happiness is the union and connection of the World of Emanations all as one, and see that through the One Who Emanates, this is all the happiness that they illuminate and become one, all as one, until the One Who Emanates will illuminate them, as appropriate.

Kuntres Mattan Torah

The way of service in the Torah and the commandments is expressed in the verse, “and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests.” A kingdom of priests means that all of you, both small and great, shall be like priests; that is, just like priests have no portion or estate, nor any material landed assets, because the Lord is their inheritance, so shall the whole nation be arranged in such a way that the land and all thereof will be consecrated to the Lord. No individual should be engaged in it more than just to observe the commandments of the Lord and fulfill others’ needs. This way, no individual would need to have any concern for his own needs; even daily tasks, such as harvesting, sowing, and the like are considered as equal to the sacrificial offerings that the priests used to perform in the Temple. For what is the difference between observing the commandment to sacrifice burnt offerings to the Lord, which is a positive commandment, and observing the positive commandment to “love your neighbor as yourself”? So, we find that one who harvests his field in order to feed others resembles one who offers sacrifices to the Lord. Moreover, it stands to reason that the positive commandment to “love your neighbor as yourself” is more valuable than offering sacrifices, as we showed above (in sections 14-15; read there carefully).
