Midrash sobre Deuteronômio 18:16

כְּכֹ֨ל אֲשֶׁר־שָׁאַ֜לְתָּ מֵעִ֨ם יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ בְּחֹרֵ֔ב בְּי֥וֹם הַקָּהָ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר לֹ֣א אֹסֵ֗ף לִשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ אֶת־קוֹל֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֔י וְאֶת־הָאֵ֨שׁ הַגְּדֹלָ֥ה הַזֹּ֛את לֹֽא־אֶרְאֶ֥ה ע֖וֹד וְלֹ֥א אָמֽוּת׃

conforme tudo o que pediste ao SENHOR teu Deus em Horebe, no dia da assembléia, dizendo:  Não ouvirei mais a voz do SENHOR meu Deus, nem mais verei este grande fogo, para que não morra.

No man departs from this world until some of that fire, which rested among the sons of man, passes over him, as it is said, "And the fire rested" (Num. 11:2). ||

Sifrei Devarim

(Devarim 18:16) "As all that you asked from the L-rd your G-d in Chorev": By this they merited that prophets arise for them, viz. (Ibid.) "I shall not continue to hear the voice of the L-rd my G-d." (Ibid. 17) "And the L-rd said to me: They have done well in speaking as they did.": They have anticipated the "Divine Intelligence," viz.
