וַנִּלְכֹּ֤ד אֶת־כָּל־עָרָיו֙ בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔וא וַֽנַּחֲרֵם֙ אֶת־כָּל־עִ֣יר מְתִ֔ם וְהַנָּשִׁ֖ים וְהַטָּ֑ף לֹ֥א הִשְׁאַ֖רְנוּ שָׂרִֽיד׃

E tomamos todas as suas cidades naquele tempo, e destruímos totalmente cada cidade, tanto homens quanto mulheres e crianças; não deixamos sobreviventes.

The word folk must be in the construct case, because it never appears in the singular form. In its normal form (e.g., “menfolk” [Deuteronomy 2: 34]) it is a plural noun.
