E Ya'el, esposa de Chever, tomou o prego da tenda e colocou o martelo em sua mão, e veio até ele sorrateiramente, e cravou o prego em sua têmpora, e ele desabou na terra, e ele estava exausto e adormecido, e morreu.

לא יהיה כלי גבר על אשה, “a woman must not wear men’s clothing;” it is an act of disgrace and sexual provocation;”Having taken note of this law, Yael, the Kenite woman who killed Sisera, the general who had commanded the army of the Canaanite King Jabin of Chatzor, did not use weapons used by male soldiers, such as arrows or a sword when doing so, but took a tent pin. (Judges, 4,21) This paragraph has been written immediately after those dealing with women and warfare, in order to remind us that warfare is something reserved for men, not women. When men go out to war they are likely to encounter situations making promiscuity a great temptation. They are therefore warned not to add to such temptation by dressing up as women. (Ibn Ezra)

ויעׇף Then flew. As written here, with a short kamez under ע, it is derived from עוף to fly; but ויעַף (Jud. 4:21), where the ע has a pathah, is derived from עיף to be weary.

However: As glory is given to the general of the army in one of two ways. Either he shows courage in his heart and he goes to war without fear; or he or one of his people is victorious and kills the leader of the opposing force. And that is why she was saying, "Will not Sisera be killed by a woman" - and that was Yael, wife of Chever the Kenite, as it will be stated concerning this matter (Judges 4:21). If so, everyone will know that 'this was from the hand of the Lord.' Because its not by strength that a woman is victorious. And if so - if you are also afraid to go to war without me; if so, in the way that you are going, there will no longer be a path of glory that is appropriate for you, given that you are the general of the army. As there will be nothing [else] to glorify you.
