Eu sou Hashem, vosso Deus, que vos tirei da terra de Mitzrayim, para que não fôsseis seus escravos, e quebrei as tábuas do vosso jugo, e vos conduzi eretos. {פ}

Midrash BeChiddush

וָרָב. כְּמוֹ שֶּׁנֶּאֱמַר, רְבָבָ֗ה "And numerous" (Deut. 26:5) - as it is stated, "I have given you to be numerous (rivava)…” (Ez. 16:7) The word, rivava, רְבָבָה, does not mean thousands or tens of thousands.109See Deut. 33:17, Num. 10:36, and Micah 6:7. See BT Sota 11b. Foa is saying that the word רְבָבָה is not used here as a numerical term but as botany metaphor Rather, the Maggid wants to explain what the sages stated; that the women would go out and give birth in the fields. The babies were then swallowed up by the earth and when they were older they would spring forth like the foliage of the land. Also they quickly grew in stature like plants so that a year old child was like a twenty year old. This is what is stated regarding the verse, “And made you walk erect,” (Lev. 26:13) - “With erect stature.”110See Rashi and Sifra on the verse Leviticus 26:13 This is also what is meant by the verse, “and you continued (rebui) to grow up…” (Ez. 16:7) The increase (rebui) is not numerical, as has already been said, but rather an increase in the size and erectness of the person.

“I made you walk erect” [26:13]. When the Messiah will come, the Holy One will rebuild the Temple twice the height of Adam and the people will also be so tall. The portion begins with the letter Aleph and ends with a Tav.5The first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet. That is to say, when Israel will keep the Torah from the Aleph to the Tav, the blessings will come upon Israel. The Torah talks about the curses nearby. They will happen if Israel transgresses the commandments. They begin with a Vav and end with a Heh. These are two letters of the name of the Holy One. This teaches us that the Holy One is in exile with us and will redeem us from the curses. The Midrash says that one should not say that the blessings are few verses and the curses are many verses. Therefore, he began the blessing with the Aleph and ended with the Tav. That is, the blessings will be long lasting, as far as from the Aleph to the Tav. However, he began the curses with the Vav and ended with the Heh. That is, the two letters are close to each other. So too, the curses will not last long.6Bahya, Leviticus, 26:13.
