שְׁמֹ֣ר וְשָׁמַעְתָּ֗ אֵ֚ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָנֹכִ֖י מְצַוֶּ֑ךָּ לְמַעַן֩ יִיטַ֨ב לְךָ֜ וּלְבָנֶ֤יךָ אַחֲרֶ֙יךָ֙ עַד־עוֹלָ֔ם כִּ֤י תַעֲשֶׂה֙ הַטּ֣וֹב וְהַיָּשָׁ֔ר בְּעֵינֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ (ס)

Ouve e guarda todas estas palavras que eu te ordeno, para que te vá bem a ti, e a teus filhos depois de ti, para sempre, se fizeres o que é bom e reto aos olhos do SENHOR teu Deus.

The Jewish Spiritual Heroes

The scholars strongly stressed the significance of justice. One who passes just sentence they compared to a partner to God and they interpreted the Biblical verse (Deut. 12:28) to show that good fortune would attend him who practices deeds that are good in the eyes of man and that also find favor in the eyes of God.
