guardando a bondade por milhares, perdoando iniqüidade, transgressão e pecado, e absolvi-los-ei? Porque punirei a iniqüidade dos pais nos filhos, e nos filhos dos filhos, até a terceira e quarta geração."

Tosefta Yoma

A sin offering, a guilt offering, and death, and Yom Kippur -- none of them effect atonement except [when accompanied] with repentance, as it is said (Lev. 23:27), "But on the tenth day, etc." If he repents, he atones himself, and if not, he does not effect atonement on himself. Rabbi Eliezer says (Ex. 34:7), "and He cleanses [and does not cleanse]" -- He cleanses those who repent, and He does not cleanse those who do not repent. Rabbi Yehuda says, death and Yom Kippur atone with repentance, repentance atones with death, and the day of death -- behold, it is like repentance.

Tosefta Sotah

The oaths [imposed on] witnesses and judges may be spoken in any language that is heard, and [once] they respond "amen" to him, behold, they are liable in the oaths of the judges. How is this? Behold, whoever obligates his fellow in an oath, they say to him, "Beware that the whole world trembled on the day that it was said (Ex. 20:7), 'Do not take the name of the Lord your God [in vain].'" Every transgression that is [written] in the Torah, it is written as to them, "And cleanses" (Ex. 34:7). And this one, it is written as to it, "And does not cleanse" (ibid.). All the transgressions that are in the Torah, they punish him. And this one, they punish him and the whole world, and the sin of the entire world shall depend on it, as it is said (Hos. 4:2-4:3), "[False] swearing, etc.... On account of this, the earther is withered." Every transgression that is in the Torah, they punish him. And this one, him has close relatives, as it is said (Koh. 5:5), "Do not let your mouth bring your flesh (בְּשָׂרֶ֔ךָ) to sin." And "flesh" means only "close relatives," as it is said (Is. 58:7), "And do not ignore your own flesh (בְּשָׂרְךָ֖)." Every transgression that is in the Torah is suspended for him for two or three generations, but this one [is imposed] immediately, as it is said (Zech. 5:4, see JPS tr.), "I have sent it (i.e., the curse) forth, the word of the Lord of Hosts, [and it shall enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by My name]." "Sent it forth" -- immediately. "And it shall enter the house of the thief" -- this is one who swears falsely and knows that he does not have it in his hand, and deceives humanity. "And the house of one who swears falsely by My name" -- [it means] what it says. Every transgression that is in the Torah, [he is punished] with his money. This one, with his money and with his body, as it is said (ibid.), "and it shall lodge (וְלָ֙נֶה֙) inside their house." Come and see, things that the fire does not consume, a false oath destroys them.

Micah

Quel dieu t’égale [Seigneur], toi qui pardonnes les iniquités, qui fais grâce aux offenses, commises par les débris de ton héritage? Toi qui ne gardes pas à jamais ta colère, parce que tu te complais dans la bienveillance?
