חָטָא֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְגַם֙ עָבְר֣וּ אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּ֖יתִי אוֹתָ֑ם וְגַ֤ם לָֽקְחוּ֙ מִן־הַחֵ֔רֶם וְגַ֤ם גָּֽנְבוּ֙ וְגַ֣ם כִּֽחֲשׁ֔וּ וְגַ֖ם שָׂ֥מוּ בִכְלֵיהֶֽם׃
Israel pecou; eles transgrediram o meu pacto que lhes tinha ordenado; tomaram do anátema, furtaram-no e, dissimulando, esconderam-no entre a sua bagagem.

They responded: "Israel has sinned" (Joshua 7:11) "And what they have sinned regarding the sacred" (Leviticus 5:16) 3the word 'kodesh' is used both for sacred objects and places, but also refers to the forbidden plants in the vineyard, cf. Deuteronomy 22:9 "They will pay sevenfold" (Proverbs 6:31)
