וַעֲבַרְתֶּם֮ אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן֒ וִֽישַׁבְתֶּ֣ם בָּאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם מַנְחִ֣יל אֶתְכֶ֑ם וְהֵנִ֨יחַ לָכֶ֧ם מִכָּל־אֹיְבֵיכֶ֛ם מִסָּבִ֖יב וִֽישַׁבְתֶּם־בֶּֽטַח׃
Mas quando passardes o Yarden e habitardes na terra que o Eterno, o vosso Deus, vos dá como herança, e Ele vos der descanso de todos os vossos inimigos ao redor, e habitardes seguros,

And I was with you wherever you went, and I cut off all your foes before you, [(wherefore [as per Deuteronomy 12:10] it entered your mind to build Me a temple)], and I made you a [great] name [i.e., "the Shield of David"], like the name of the great ones in the land [i.e., "the Shield of Avraham"].
