וַיְהִי֙ לִתְקֻפ֣וֹת הַיָּמִ֔ים וַתַּ֥הַר חַנָּ֖ה וַתֵּ֣לֶד בֵּ֑ן וַתִּקְרָ֤א אֶת־שְׁמוֹ֙ שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל כִּ֥י מֵיְהוָ֖ה שְׁאִלְתִּֽיו׃
E aconteceu que, ao final de certo tempo, Chana concebeu e teve um filho, e chamou o seu nome de Shemu-El, "porque", disse ela, "eu o pedi a Adonai."

Eili then answered and said, "Go in peace. The God of Yisroel will grant your request that you have asked of Him."

And I have dedicated him to Adonoy. All the days that he lives he is dedicated to Adonoy." He then prostrated himself to Adonoy.
