וַתִּירֶ֤אןָ הַֽמְיַלְּדֹת֙ אֶת־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים וְלֹ֣א עָשׂ֔וּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר דִּבֶּ֥ר אֲלֵיהֶ֖ן מֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרָ֑יִם וַתְּחַיֶּ֖יןָ אֶת־הַיְלָדִֽים׃
Porém as parteiras temeram a Elohim e não fizeram conforme o rei do Egito lhes ordenara, mas deixaram viver os meninos.
Targum Jonathan
But the midwives feared before the Lord, and would not do according to what the king of Mizraim had said to them, but they saved the children.
