וַיֹּ֨אמֶר עֵשָׂ֜ו אֶֽל־יַעֲקֹ֗ב הַלְעִיטֵ֤נִי נָא֙ מִן־הָאָדֹ֤ם הָאָדֹם֙ הַזֶּ֔ה כִּ֥י עָיֵ֖ף אָנֹ֑כִי עַל־כֵּ֥ן קָרָֽא־שְׁמ֖וֹ אֱדֽוֹם׃
e disse Esaú a Jacó: Deixa-me, peço-te, comer desse guisado vermelho, porque estou muito cansado. Por isso se chamou <span class="x" onmousemove="Show('perush','Deriva de vermelho (adom) em hebraico.');" onmouseout="Hide('perush');">Edom</span>.
Targum Jonathan on Genesis
And Esau said to Jakob, Let me now taste that red pottage, for I am faint, -- therefore he called his name Edom.
