וַתֵּ֣רֶא רָחֵ֗ל כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יָֽלְדָה֙ לְיַעֲקֹ֔ב וַתְּקַנֵּ֥א רָחֵ֖ל בַּאֲחֹתָ֑הּ וַתֹּ֤אמֶר אֶֽל־יַעֲקֹב֙ הָֽבָה־לִּ֣י בָנִ֔ים וְאִם־אַ֖יִן מֵתָ֥ה אָנֹֽכִי׃
Vendo Raquel que não dava filhos a Jacó, teve inveja de sua irmã, e disse a Jacó: <span class="x" onmousemove="Show('perush','R. Sa’ádia Gaon explica aqui que pedira que orasse por ela.');" onmouseout="Hide('perush');">Dá-me filhos</span>, senão eu morro.
Targum Jonathan on Genesis
And Rahel saw that she bare not to Jakob, and Rahel was envious of her sister, and said to Jakob, Pray before the Lord that He give me children; and if not, my life I shall reckon as the dead.
